Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Poland

Poland is actively engaged in pursuing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a comprehensive framework comprising 17 goals aimed at addressing global challenges by 2030. The Polish government has integrated the SDGs into national policies and strategies, collaborating with various stakeholders to promote sustainable development across the country.

National Implementation and Monitoring:
Poland has established mechanisms to implement and monitor progress towards the SDGs:

  • Government Coordination: The Polish government coordinates SDG implementation across ministries and agencies, ensuring policy coherence and alignment with sustainable development objectives.
  • Statistical Monitoring: The Central Statistical Office (GUS) monitors and reports on SDG indicators, providing data-driven insights to track progress and inform policy decisions.

International Cooperation:
Poland actively participates in international cooperation to advance sustainable development globally:

  • EU Collaboration: Engaging in EU-wide initiatives and partnerships to address transnational challenges and promote sustainable development within Europe and beyond.
  • Global Partnerships: Collaborating with international organizations, bilateral partners, and development agencies to exchange best practices, mobilize resources, and support global efforts to achieve the SDGs.
