Frank Verspoor is the editor-in-chief of RYB Global Development, the founder and editor-in-chief of Europa Regina, and the artist and curator of the Red Yellow Blue Silk Road. He is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Work at RYB
Frank leads the editorial direction of RYB, a platform that connects citizens, NGOs and changemakers across 193 countries through research, storytelling and cultural initiatives. He curates the Red Yellow Blue Silk Road exhibition and documents the research behind it: how red, yellow and blue recorded meaning, order and connection across ancient textiles, porcelain, manuscripts and carpets, and how colour, light, symbol and water connect that history to today’s questions.
Europa Regina Creative Industries
Europa Regina Creative Industries is a B2B publisher that has served the creative industries since 2000. Frank founded the publication and is its editor-in-chief. Europa Regina provides trade information, event calendars and trend analysis for professionals in fashion, textiles, design and related sectors, and it publishes country and region pages that show what is happening in each European market.
Europa Regina also represents the Netherlands in the European Fashion Council, where it works on cross-border collaboration and international relations between creative professionals and institutions across Europe.
This work connects directly to RYB. Europe’s creative economy has deep roots in the history of colour and textiles. In the seventeenth century, Amsterdam was a central hub where imported fabrics and dyes such as indigo were processed and traded. RYB explores this heritage in its research on the Dutch Silk Road, while Europa Regina follows how the creative industries develop today.
Background
Frank is the founder of Europa Regina, which joined the European Fashion Council (EFC) as a member in 2008. Through Europa Regina, Frank has been a member of the EFC since 2008, and he leads the Dutch delegation as President of EFC Netherlands. Read more on the EFC Netherlands member page.
